No,no, no !! We must not allow a pro-life ad on Super Bowl Sunday. In fact, we must not celebrate family or life for "obvious reasons". . . Huh?!!

Here is a news brief detailing the latest controversy driven by the abortionists on the left:

*******

ABC News on Campus reporter April Dudash blogs from Gainesville, Florida:

The University of Florida campus is slowly catching wind of Tim Tebow’s decision to star in a Super Bowl ad slated to air on CBS on Feb. 7, and some say the ad’s message is bound to spark controversy.

The ad spot was purchased by Focus on the Family, a conservative Christian organization that places emphasis on marriage and parenthood.

The Associated Press reported this week that the ad’s theme will be “Celebrate Family, Celebrate Life,” with Pam Tebow sharing the story of her difficult 1987 pregnancy -- instead of getting an abortion she decided to give birth to Tebow, the now-famous quarterback who went on to become a Heisman Trophy winner, leading the Gators to two BCS wins.

*******

This ad is exactly what the AP reports it to be - a celebration of family and life. Those on the left are furious with the Super Bowl ad, claiming that it is in violation of network policy. A defender of the abortion position appeared on the O'Reilly show and made the point that it is time to have "a debate about this issue" but not by using this ad. Of course, it is never time to have a debate with these pro-death people. They prefer to criminalize free speech on this subject and feverishly working to get the ad taken down.

The annual number of abortions went from 744,600 in the first year of legalization (1973), to a high of over 1.6 million in 1990. In 2006, that total was down to 846,181. Only 7% of abortions are for health reasons or issues relating to rape and/or incest. This means that around 800,000 babies are aborted each year simply because the mother would rather get a tan or not pay for child care when at work . . . . that's the negative side of the story. To state things little more positively, the annual abortion rate has decreased by nearly 50% since 1990. While an estimated 52 million babies have died needlessly since 1973, the total count could have easily been 5 million higher.
abortion, Tebow, Super Bowl ad,
