Conflicting news reports have Joe Biden denying that his son will NOT run for his vacated Senate seat. We have the truth on this story.

Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, son of Vice President Joe Biden, e-mailed supporters on Monday morning to say that he will not seek his father's Senate seat. The younger Biden's decision is a blow to the Democratic Party.

"My first responsibilities are here in Delaware," Biden wrote. "I have a duty to fulfill as attorney general — and the immediate need to focus on a case of great consequence. And that is what I must do. Therefore, I cannot and will not run for the United States Senate in 2010. I will run for reelection as attorney general."

The favorite for the seat is now Rep. Mike Castle, a popular Republican moderate. It is more than obvious that in today's political climate, a predictable loss to a Republican in a contest for Joe Biden's long held seat would be another embarrassment for the Marxist Democrats and Mr. Obama. Apparently, internal polling shows the younger Biden would not win election if he chose to run so he pretends to not be interested.
