I will traveling with my doctor son ( I have three boys ). First leg of trip will be through Yosemite Park and points East to Vegas.
I have to pack for hot and cold weather. Packing for hot is easy. Just put on my speedo and chaps, and I am done. But wind chill in the early morning in Yellowstone, will be around 28 degrees and I don't have two pair of speedo's.

I will be doing some limited posting, while on the trip. It is surprising to me, but a number of you, show interest (or is it curiosity). I am a member of the Iron Butt Association and go to at least one Blessing of the Bikes, each year. The bike is an 800 pound, vtx 1800c. I got the bike (a gift from Dr. James) in 2011 and have put 38,000 miles on the bike beginning in 2012. I ride all year long (living in California makes that easy). And, have been down in traffic, three times.
I repaired the front fender after going down this past May, near Pueblo, Colorado, in a sudden hail storm. Couldn't match paint, so I went with what you see. The brown stuff hanging off my fairing are my half-chaps.
I never pack the bike the same. Part of the fun. I have heated vest and chaps, a great speaker systems for my Emmylou Harris Pandora channel. I carry plenty of tools, a small compressor and tire repair tools.
More in the days to follow. Nice to talk about stuff that is not political, right?
