For a host of reasons as published in a Daily Beast article, here, the supply of sperm for lesbian couples, is problematic and not improving, at least, in Canada. Whether in foreign countries or here in the United States, it is funny, to me, that the heterphobic community must have the help of the straight community in order to survive a mere political advancement.
Can they (lesbian folks or male gay types) raise children that will function on an acceptable to high level in society? I will not argue that point. But, at the same time, there really has not been enough time to register the negative/positive effects on children raised in heterphobic homes.
My point, therefore, is limited to the fact that gays cannot survive as family units, without the cooperation of the straight community. It would not surprise me to awake to the news, some day, that straights are being forced to give sperm to those who are not biologically equipped to birth children.
