In the town to the Northwest of my home, Clovis, California, Hedrick Chevrolet is a very familiar name. It sold 10 Volts last year but turned down an order of 6 Volts allocated to it by GM under its "turn and earn" system. Turns out, the Volt sold a total of 7,600 units, nationwide, all of last year. Costco has taken out all of its "electric service stations" because of non-use. The electric car, as mean for mass transit, is to 10 15 years ahead of its time and sales proves the point.
