Midknight Review has made a big change and many of you like that change. Thank yoooooooou !!

Well, its hardly national news. Its not even big Internet news but it is about us.

Some of you know that December 26 saw this blog shut down by someone at Google. We are passed that.

There was a good out come to that bit of "injustice" (we lost more than 2000 articles and had to re-build our presence on the web - something we continue to work on).

Since that time, our "return" has featured more of our own creativity -- news facts rewritten in our words and with our sense of "what's happening now." And the payoff has been most pleasing. Before December 26, We were running a 22% factor on return visits. Now, with our new essay policies in place, we are looking at 47% of our readership returning over and over during any 30 day period.

Our editorial construct includes the news, related facts that are not often found in the typical report and our view of the consequences of the particular news item -- all in the same article. The attached chart shows that this policy is appreciated. And, we would much rather have 700 folks return to Midknight Review than 2000 who fly by on an occasional surf-search.

Room for improvement? Let us know. Our big problem is the dreaded "typo." We know that and spend hours each day in "proof reading."

At any rate -- thanks for your visits -- jds.
