This is what was released by the Obama campaign. It is not a copy of the actual birth certificate nor is it intended to be. The redacted "certificate number" is filled in on other copies we have seen, but not on the campaign copy. Believers in Obama and his claim to honesty will see this as proof enough. For those who are aware of the government's willingness to lie under similar situations (we are not talking about Obama, here, but about "government" and government as we know it over the past 40 years), out post, here, is the only viable solution to the controversy. You need to know that Midknight Review called and talked to people in the Hall of Records in Hawaii about this issue. We were told that this is not a "birth certificate" but only an official declaration of same IF there is a time stamp on the back and the signature of the County Registrar. We do know that this document was not available before Obama went to visit his ailing Grandmother in Hawaii. We thought it more than curious that the press did not document his visit. Google Google and try to find the kind of press record that exists for every other Obama visit to Anywhere, USA, during his campaign. The Obama side will try to make the argument that they were trying to showing respect for Obama on this very serious occasion. But, of course, pictures can be taken and stories written in a discreet manner in such circumstances. Mix in the fact that Obama is hardly a "family man" when it comes to his extended family and you have a very situation that is ripe for fraud and misdirection.
Here is a story we leave for you to decide. It is about Obama's birth claims. If true, it really is a troublesome situation for Obama. Rather than produce the actual certificate, Obama and company have decided to prosecute their case with nothing, and we mean absolutely nothing, but silence (on the part of Obama) and ridicule (on the part of his mindless minions).
Let's say that you had decided to question your pot smoking, crack using teenager (Obama has quit these habits, right? -- just askin') as to whether he is using and stashing drugs in his bedroom. How convincing of a retort is this: "OF COURSE I AM NOT USING OR KEEPING DRUGS IN MY BEDROOM. That room is as clean as the day you let me have it. SO THERE !! Oh, by the way, Mom, I put locks on the doors and wedged the windows. Please respect by space. See you after the game. . . . . What? . . . . Can I be trusted? Of course, but don't be a butt and try to get into my room."
How would that work for you and yours? Me -- right about now, I would be kicking in the door. You see, that bedroom is MINE. I am paying for it and my son, in this case, is nothing more than a squatter.
That white house on the hill in Washington, D.C. ?? It belongs to me, not Barry and his buds. This continuing controversy is not the fault of the "idiot birther" industry. It is the fault of Obama. He could end this tomorrow with a news conference and the actual birth certificate. Of course it would have to be verified -- but, then, do you know how much damage he could do the birthers and the conservative party, in general ?? You might say, "But , it is not the GOP that wants this proof." Indeed. Don't think that Obama and his radicalized news media would roll the GOP into the mix with the birthers and score a huge PR victory ??? Look, that is such a juicy possibility for Obama, the PR victory would be so devastating, that his refusal to do so, raises questions, in and of itself.
While we reserve judgment on this matter, we say to Obama -- BRING IT ON. In so doing, you win in the coming 2010 mid-term elections. Why not destroy your opposition by doing exactly what they are asking for ?
(Feb. 2, 2010) — While political momentum is building within the Democratic Party from coast to coast to make the issue of Obama’s claims to be born in Hawaii a litmus test for its political opponents in the 2010 general elections for Congress, a key component in such a strategy has been undermined by the Hawaii Attorney General’s Office.
In correspondence with The Post & Email, Jill T. Nagamine, Deputy Attorney General for the State of Hawaii, has made it clear that her office will not corroborate or back in any way the July 27, 2009 Statement of Dr. Chiyome Fukino, Director of the Hawaii Department of Health, which declared Obama Hawaiian-born and a “natural-born American citizen.”
The stunning admission was made in an email sent to the Editor of this paper yesterday evening.
The implications of this denial are catastrophic for the Democratic strategy.
The Hawaii Attorney General’s office has the duty to prosecute the laws of the State. Mark J. Bennett, the current Attorney General, was appointed to the office by Governor Lingle on Jan. 3, 2003. He is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney General for Honolulu, and a graduate of Cornell’s Law School. Bennett is the first Republican to hold the office in 40 years.
According to published reports, Dr. Fukino has admitted that her July 27th statement received the verbal approval of the HI Attorney General, who “o.k.’d it.” end of text

Equal time: here is a USA Today report claiming the problem has been resolved. Fine. But if you actually read the entire article, you discover that no one knows where the original document is !!! No problem?? are we left with only "trust us - you know we have never lied before in similar circumstances." Geeeeeez.
If this editor was going to debate the issue, he would key on the refusal to produce the document. He would not get sucked into arguing the details of the evidence produced by either side. JUST SHOW ME THE MONEY. If the other side refused, I would win. The current debate is really just this simple. To my friends in the conservative blogosphere , join this fat old man in making this case. While you are at it, file this under "Debate strategy: Put up or shut and get out !!"
