From Euronews: Obama lacks a plan for Middle East peace
The Syrian president has said the US should do more to promote peace between Syria and Israel.
Bashar al-Assad was speaking from Paris ahead of talks with his French counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy, who himself met the Israeli prime minister on Wednesday. Assad said that while Barack Obama’s words on peace were positive, the American president had failed to come up with a concrete action plan.*******
Poor planning is the theme of this news story ---
From the Economic Nationalist:
Events are going to ride Barack Obama and his Democratic party hard. Mr. Obama and his party have no workable plan to fix any of the big problems that ail the nation. The market crisis? The mortgage crisis? The burgeoning budget deficit? The threat of stagflation? Health care? African American barbarity? Immigration? The erosion of the work ethic? The erosion of the family? The erosion of American industry? The insecurity of our borders and ports? The lack of motivational purpose in a rising Generation Y? The discontent of organized labor? The war? Islamic jihad? The oversupply of dollars abroad? The lack of U.S. exports to bring those dollars home? No, no workable plan.
*******From The Hill:
Democrats expressed their frustration with the lack of a clear plan for passing healthcare reform, according to one person in the room.
One Democratic senator even grew heated in his remarks, according to the source.
“It wasn’t a discussion about how to get from Point A to Point B; it was a discussion about the lack of a plan to get from Point A to Point B,” said a person who attended the meeting. “Many of the members were frustrated, but one person really expressed his frustration.”

from the AP -- . . . . Democrats retreated Tuesday from a quick push to pass President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul, lacking a workable strategy to salvage the sweeping legislation that has consumed Congress for more than a year.”There is no rush,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said after a meeting of Senate Democrats

from Mother Nature Network: . . . . .Yet President Barack Obama, intent on harnessing new technology to rebuild the devastated economy, made a last-minute allocation of $8 billion for high-speed rail in his mammoth stimulus plan. It sounds good, but that amount isn't enough to build a single system, or to dramatically increase existing train speeds, transportation experts say.

Obama is also being denounced for an apparent lack of curiosity about
the incredible shrinking wetlands…
Congressman Steve Scalise called a press conference at the 17th Street
Canal in Lakeview to declare, in an authentically New Orleans
metaphor, that his constituents deserved more than a ‘drive-through
daiquiri summit.’
Meanwhile, the local director of ACORN has been fired after some of
its members berated Obama for failing to schedule a stop in the Lower
9th. The White House promptly added the school visit to Obama's
itinerary, but ACORN's national leadership, in what it delicately
terms ‘a time of severe challenge for us,’ decided that locals cannot
be allowed to speak ill of the president…

Another IRS project killed by poor planning: The Internal Revenue Service had a good idea to provide online access to tax records called My IRS Account and tools to help them with tax preparation. But the Treasury inspector general for tax administration reported on Tuesday that the IRS spent $10 million to develop the project, only to kill it near its completion date because it was never properly planned.Anybody see a pattern in all this ??
