More indictments for Manafort. What does this mean for the Trump-is-a-Russian-agent nonsense?

Washington Post:
Special counsel Mueller files new charges in Manafort, Gates case … New charges were filed Thursday against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his business partner, ratcheting up the legal pressure on them as they prepare for a trial later this year.
Editor:  I believe that this means Mueller has given up on "flipping" Manafort.  Look,  Manafort was associated with the Trump campaign for three months and was fired because he had not registered as a foreign [business] agent.  He messed with 70 million dollars over the years,  and kept 30 million without reporting to the IRS.  It is no more involved than this.
He can't "flip" on collusion because so such thing exists.  And,  he is going to jail because he is a crook   . . . .   plain and simple.

One final thought:  If Mueller can't find anything supporting the fantasy that Trump is a Russian agent,  what with 45 prosecutors working on the case,  one must assume there is nothing to fine.
Now you know.

  1. The crime is now Conspiracy against the United States.

Gates pled guilty to lying specifically about a meeting between Manafort, Russia, and Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher. This now opens the door for Mueller to take down any and all Congressmen who committed crimes in the Trump-Russia scandal and coverup, particularly Nunes. Gates also pled guilty to Conspiracy against the United States, thus legally establishing that Trump-Russia was a criminal plot against the U.S. Mueller brought obstruction of justice charges against Manafort, opening the door for numerous Trump advisers to face the same charges. Mueller keeps winning.

Trump spoke today and while he was saying he supports law enforcement.... the Breaking News below the screen said: "Gates to plead guilty, signals cooperation with Special Counsel" - PERFECT

Comrade Smithson, stop siding with Putin.

It's coming, you can't stop it, justice will prevail.

    1. Gates plead guilty to his part in the money laundering deal with Manafort, period. The fact that Mueller increased the charges against Manafort is evidence that the has nothing on Manafort that takes him to a Trump/Russian nexus.

    2. Anonymous writes with wishful thinking: "Gates also pled guilty to Conspiracy against the United States, thus legally establishing that Trump-Russia was a criminal plot against the U.S"

Money Laundering, lying to the IRS about income, and failure to register as a businessman dealing with foreign interests, are all "Crimes against the United States," Moron. There is NOTHING in the Gates pleading/indictment that ties him to the Trump/Russian/Democrat fairy-tale, absolutely nothing. stop lying . . . . if that is possible for you.
