The best possible outcome for the Dying GOP party is a victory for Moore. He will, then, be rejected by the Senate, and the election will voided by Alabama State officials, with a new election scheduled for sometime next year.
A loss to the Democrat opponent would reduce the GOP's margin in the Senate to a single vote. For all practical purposes, this would mark the end of the legislative agenda until/unless the GOP can score several victories in the 2018 mid-term elections.
