Rasmussen runs
these numbers. Shortly after Ryan's selection, he scored a 39% approval
rating.
Monday, just three days (counting Saturday) later,
his favorables have risen to 50%. Clearly, the Ryan
selection is working.
But, more than this, the Ryan selection has energized
the GOP base in a way not experienced by the Democrat Party. Enthusiasm
and participation percentages put the Republican/Conservative contingency 13
point above Democrats.
Point of post: in tracking Ryan's impact, we see that Romney is on the right track. Ryan's appointment has taken Bain and Romney's taxes of the table, for the moment. You should know that Romney has wisely pointed out that the coming election will be with regard to his economic plan. Obviously, Paul Ryan will figure into that equation, but all the negative talk about the "Ryan Plan" is a waste of time.
