Mission Statement: This blog reviews the news of the day in light of 242 years of American history. "Nationalism," a modern day pejorative, has been our country's politic throughout history, until 2008. Obama changed that narrative. Trump is seeking a return to our historical roots. Midknight Review supports this return to normality.
Just for the record: every Democrat Senator in 2006 voted against raising the debt ceiling, including Obama. Now they lecture us ??!! (no article)
You liberals are all alike and always with the same time worn crap. Now the GOP is raist for resisting to raise the debt ceiling. It couldn't have anything to do with the fact of the 2010 midterms elections, an utter wipe-out for the Democrats, could it. Any election you all pretend did not happen.
Well, here is a news flash: the GOP will vote to raise the debt ceiling because Obama will cave, as he has in the past. In addition, the House has approved the Ryan budget, cutting 6 trillion in spending over a course of 20 years, I believe. And what specifically has Obama promiYou hae no answer, William, and like ALL liberals, you do not want to actually debate the issue, just do your "drive-bys" and mover on.
In the end, Obama wants "two trillion" in "cuts," and he wants us all to forget the 18 trillion debt that will "happen" during the same period of time his so-called "cuts" take place.
McConnell, Boehner, and Cantor voted to raise the debt ceiling EVERY TIME under Bush. But now, under Mr. Black President, it's different.
