No. 3 TCU just got beat in the Fiesta Bowl by number 6, Boise State - now 14 - 0. There is a reason why Boise is No. 1 in scoring. Go WAC !!!!!

They were No. 6 before this game. They went undefeated in beating TCU Monday night in the Fiesta Bowl AND one of their victims was Oregon University (No. 7), who lost to No. 5 Ohio State in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day. They should finish the season No. 2 in the nation. They have the record to prove it.

Boise State with another trick play, passing on a 4th and 9 from deep in their own territory goes on to defend that lead, winning a monumental defensive battle between two great teams. The final score was 17 to 10.

Few dedicated college football fans will ever forget the "hook and latter" play a couple of years ago that beat Oklahoma, 43 to 42 in the same Fiesta Bowl. Boise completes only the 2nd NCAA undefeated season in college football history.

Boise State is the face of the WAC, winning that conference 8 consecutive years. The school began as a junior college founded by the Episcopal Church in 1934, became a 4 year state college in '65 and an University in 1974 offering 201 degrees. There are more than 70,000 living alumni. The campus provides for 19, 000 students and the school has evolved into one of the nation's most consistent top ranked football programs. Because it is not "BCS " (which is so much BS) , it is not given the credit due to the football program - so they cram the program down the throats of the high-minded competition.

Congrats from Midknight Review to the Fiesta Bowl champs and proud representative of the WAC.
