Trump made it official via a tweet:  Mike Pence is his VP candidate.  Pence is governor of Indiana and a popular one,  at that.  He is considered a "solid" conservative pick,  reflecting traditional conservatism,  supported Ted Cruz,  and is a committed Evangelical.  He was a congressman for six terms,  and was a leader in the House.  His foreign policy has been described as "Reaganesque." He is a pro-life governor and is unpopular in Indiana,  with liberal women,  for that reason.
