I don't know. Maybe some lives really don't matter.

I mean,  look at the 200,000 and counting lives in Syria no one cares about.  Look at the Christian genocide taking place in parts of the world.  Who cares about them.  Then you have the [nearly] 3,000 lives snuffed out by our gangs.

I would include all those who threaten to kill me and my family,  burn my home,  and trash my business   . . . .   I am thinking their lives are worthless,  as well.  Add to these folks,  the Louis Farrakhans of the world,  men who preach hate and revenge;  l;eaders who are a threat to our very society. If they have value,  existentially speaking,  I would argue that you are talking about a nickle compared to 1000 dollar gold piece,

The problem with pacifism is this: hundreds,  thousands,  millions,  die because of YOUR sense of values,  because of your ideology, or,  because of your cowardice.  They should not die because you do not believe in saving them,  fighting for them,  dying (if needs be) for them.  Maybe, your life is not as important as theirs.
