Dow Plunges 531 Points in Global Selloff - a couple of quick thoughts:

On September 20,  2008,  the stock market fell 777 points,  the largest fall in American history.  No doubt,  today's fall is one of the worst in our history and combined with yesterday's 350 drop,  the market has lost 881 points in 48 hours.

A second consideration is this:  All financial pundits of the day,  are concerned about the fact that the drop seemed to gain momentum as the market neared it's closing hour.  They all see this as a bad sign for whatever is going to happen Monday.

Update:  A third consideration relates to the "fear factor,"  a percentage relating to confidence in the Market, and, kept current by Market personnel.  Today,  that measurement was the highest in history,  including the 2008 crash.
