Marxism is about to score, yet, another victory. What will destroy Marxism in America? Debt - if nothing else.

You must understand than none of our national debt is due to the function of a disciplined free-market system . . . . none of it. If we did not (as a country) have Socialized Security, Medicare and Medicaid, this country would have no public debt. Those three social systems own 80 trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities and force the borrowing of funds for all other considerations. But who cares about that fact? Guaranteed, this will be a theme of Midknight Review in the near future. But . . . . .

We leave that point alone for the moment, to discuss the supposed "change of mind" on the part of this nation's two most dedicated social/Marxists - Barack Obama and the very short Dennies Kucinish.

*********

Dennis Kucinich, a dedicated and overt Socialist/Progressive has changed his vote from a "no" on ObamaCare to a "yes" vote.

What was his overriding complaint of this bill? The fact that the Senate bill now under "consideration" in the House did not have a "public option" (per se) written into its law.

Midknight Review pulled these words from the Kucinish website moments before writing this post. See what you think understanding that until yesterday, Kucinish was profoundly opposed to the current bill:

The masquerade is over! The "public option" is ... dead.

Health care reform is now a private option: WHICH FOR PROFIT INSURANCE COMPANY DO YOU WANT? You have to choose. And you have to pay. If you have a low income, under HR3200 government will subsidize the private insurance companies and you will still have to pay premiums, co-pays and deductibles.
The Administration plan requires that everyone must have health insurance, so it is delivering tens of millions of new "customers" to the insurance companies. Health care? Not really. Insurance care! Absolutely. Cost controls? No chance.

You will next hear talk about "co-ops." The truth is that insurance company campaign contributions have co-opted the public interest.

I need your help to spread the word and rally the nation around true healthcare reform which covers everyone and maintains fiscal integrity without breaking our nation's bank! Your contribution will empower our efforts to continue to fight for the single-payer, not-for-profit health care bill, HR676 "Medicare for All," which I co-authored with John Conyers.. The bill now has 85 sponsors in the House.

Does any of this sound like the words of one who might "cave in" and support the very thing he opposes?

Couple this Kucinish statement with one made by Obama in June of '09 in a letter written to Max Barcus and Ted Kennedy: "I strongly believe that Americans should have the choice of a public health insurance option operating alongside private plans. This will give them a better range of choices, make the health care market more competitive, and keep insurance companies honest."

Midknight Review could present statement after statement from both men presenting their dedication to a public option. So, why the change? Suddenly both men have "caved" and are willing to accept something far less critical than the "public option" ??

Understand this -- Midknight Review contends that NEITHER MAN HAS CAVED. That little conference on the Presidential Jet? It was all about getting Kucinish in a private situation -- away from any chance of public scrutiny, and explaining to him the true "skinny" as to current ObamaCare long-term strategy.

Let's not lose sight of the fact that Obama is more radical a reformer than Kucinish and if that is not possible (in your opinion), we can safely say that Obama is certainly not to the right of the Ohio Senator.

If we accept this as a fact, we are convinced that both men are on "the same page" as relates to ObamaCare.

Now, back to that airplane ride. The first order of business for Obama was to convince Kucinish that the two were in full agreement. With that assurance up front and clear, Obama then would have explained that the public option, while not specifically stated in the bill, will become the functioning principle of ObamaCare within a few years without the need for further legislation.

In the quote above, Kucinish complained of the "private option" set into motion with the binding of this bill. That "private option" is in reality a thing called the Federal Exchange. This "Exchange" will be a gathering of private insurance companies. Before the Presidential Flight, Kucinish hated this fact. Now, he pretends to remain opposed while "reluctantly" giving his support to the Senate proposition.

In the world of philosophical terminology, this is called "proverbial crap."

Anytime you have a "private Exchange" fully regulated by the Federal government, you have - in this case - the beginnings of a public option. And it is this eventuality that was convincingly explained to the Senator. Neither man has abandoned his drive to "fundamentally transform" this nation via some sort of economic vehicle.

Private insurance companies refusing to join the Federal Exchange will see their price structures undercut by the Exchange. As employers send their employees to the Exchange, the population of insured under private insurance care will decrease resulting in the need to raise the price of that private care. It is just a matter of time before "private" insurance will have been nationalized by the ever-increasing Federal Exchange and its repressive system of regulation.

Without private insurance, the medical community will become the sub servitor functionaries of federal health care -- doctors, in effect, working for the Federal Government.

In time, the only place for a doctor to make any money at all will be in some sort of specialized care. The GP doctor will, eventually, become a thing of the past.

Don't believe me? Ask your General Practitioner how much he/she makes. Our doctor, in his mid fifties, makes less than $120,000 a year -- which is around $55,000 per year after all taxes are paid. Who in their right mind will submit to a $300,000 debt (medical school) to make a net $55,000 per year? What !! Are you an idiot !!?

But we digress. The point of this post is this: Kucinish changed his mind about his vote when he was made to realize that this change actually augmented his desire for governmental controls. If it passes, the conservative side of the political paradigm will need to stabilized.
