Conservative legal minds protest Liz Cheney !! No mention by these folks about Holders effort at hiding the facts.

Editor's notes: well, in fact there was a letter of protest with 19 signatures, some of them officials in the Bush Administration. They complained of the demonization of those who would defend the likes of an enemy terrorist. The fuss was all about the DOJ's refusal to release information about the 9 lawyers hired by the Muslim sympathizer, Attorney General Eric Holder. It is one thing to have defended terrorists. After all, it is a Constitutional provision that all deserve a robust defense in a court of law. However, it is quite another thing to have refused to give out the names of taxpayer financed officials, whether they be lawyers in the DOJ (Department of Justice) or White House cooks.

Liz Cheney is not the one to be demonized, here. She is an American citizen expressing her concern about a matter that "came to a head" because of a refusal by public officials to be transparent. And that is the complaint of Midknight Review.

It is never acceptable to hide facts and refuse demands to be transparent when one is a public official whose "boss" is the taxpayer and whose guide is the Constitution. It is that simple.

So where is the protest against Holder (and, hence, Mr. Obama) for trying to hide the facts and skirt his obligation to the voting public ?? The identification of the 7 lawyers (2 had been previously identified just last week) had to be nearly beaten out of Holder. THAT is what is wrong, here. Holder and Obama represent the most opaque administrations of our time and their time is fast coming to an end. Can anyone say, "See you in November ? " --- jds.
