This is what we ask you to do. Press “ctrl” on your keyboard and hit the “+” button several times, making the chart below larger and larger. Now, look to the fourth line down, on the chart . . . "Gross Cost of Coverage Provisions." What you have, there, is the projected annual cost of health care through 2019 - a ten year period. You should know that health care incurs very little cost until 2014 because it is not scheduled to go into effect until then. What is a projected fact is this: the second ten year period will find the annual accumulated cost at $2.16 trillion assuming that the annual (projected) cost of $216 billion (2019) remains the same for each year in that second decade. Understand that this bill is deemed "debt neutral" if the ten year cost is under 1 trillion dollars for ten years. We are saying that the 2nd ten year period will see a total cost of well over $2 trillion assuming that annual costs are identical each year in that 10 period - fixed at $216 billion. But, of course, the annual cost in the next 10 period will not be frozen at $216 per year. Each year from 2020 through 2029 will see the cost rise 15 to 20 billion per year added on to the $216. Conclusion? At the end of the 2nd decade of ObamaCare, we will have a projected annual cost of $3.4 trillion.
Understand that the Feds have delayed putting health care into action in order to keep the 1st ten year period 's cost total as low as possible. It is a sales trick. That is what we are being sold. The second ten year period's cost explosion proves our point ---- jds
