When we say "This nation is 'center right,' " we refer to 40 years of stats similar to this: 2012 results - 43% are 'conservative" and 18% are 'liberal' on economic issues. So much for Obama's plan to change the economic foundations of this great nation.

Friday, August 31, 2012

Voters remain more conservative on fiscal issues than on social matters. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 43% consider themselves conservative when it comes to fiscal issues such as taxes, government spending and business regulation. That's consistent with regular tracking since May of last year. Thirty-seven percent (37%) say they are fiscal moderates. Eighteen percent (18%) define themselves as liberal on fiscal matters, up four points from a month ago and the highest number of self-described fiscal liberals to date. Global Warming by Zip Code is hardly Global Warming. It can't be "global" when it is not . . . . ah . . . . . global, can it??

<<<<  Too bad the big guy doesn't know how to swim,  right???

News alert: “Global Warming struck fear into the hearts of those living at the end of my street.  Me and my family?  We were just fine.

News alert:  “Global Warming over heated Kansas but left the West Coast with a very normal year,  proving,  of course,  that “global warming:” does not have to be global to be global.

News alert:  last year Spain had its warmest year on record proving “global” warming.  France and Germany ran average temps,  however.
__________
Big Journalism carries a story of an NBC journalist making fun of "warming deniers."  Whatever.

2008 - 37 million tuned in to listen to Sarah Palin. This year 20 million listened to Paul Ryan. It's not what you think, folks. The difference? People have already made up their minds. The nation has been ready to vote for at three agonizing years.

Obama responds to Eastwood with a picture of him in a chair: "This seat taken." Fine . . . . but I thought Obama was not watching the RNC. More smoke and mirrors ??? Who knew.

Kind of makes one wonder how long it took for Obama to think up this response.  Clever.

Eastwood's masterful speech was unscripted but not unplanned. Take a long look at this picture of the empty chair. It's for Obama, of course, COMPETE WITH TELEPROMPTER !!

Its time to stop with this nonsense that Obama is pro-Israel. He reveals Israeli top-secret info, funds the PLO and opposes military action against Iran's nuclear facility.

Tensions between the Israeli and United States governments reached fever pitch over the issue of Iran’s nuclear program in a recent high-level meeting between the prime minister and the American ambassador, Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Friday.

Last week Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened a closed-door meeting with visiting Congressman and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers and American Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro. Netanyahu opened the discussion by lambasting the Obama administration for what he considered its ineffectual policy vis à vis Iran.

Netanyahu then expressed his belief that the US should be pressuring Iran to stop its nuclear program rather than pressuring Israel not to attack.

“Instead of effectively pressuring Iran, Obama and his people are pressuring us not to attack the nuclear facilities,” he reportedly said. He concluded by saying that the time for diplomacy had run out, the Yedioth report said.
At one point during the meeting, Shapiro grew enraged by Netanyahu’s remarks, broke diplomatic protocol, and snapped at the PM, saying he was misrepresenting Obama’s position on Iran.

According to a source at the meeting, “sparks and lightning were flying.”
The US embassy did not comment on the Yedioth Ahronoth report.

Without warning, Obama suddenly decides to visit New Orleans, instead of Texas -- on the tail of Romney's announced visit to the storm worn city. Significance? Obama is chasing Romney !! Don't you love it? (no article)

Here is why Obama is fearful of the coming election - a "for real" internal poll . . . .

Democracy Corps, a liberal think tank offering internal polling, not made for the public's eye and run by James Carville,  shows the Independents vote to be a walking, talking disaster.

Romney leads Obama by 15 points (53 to 38)  before the Convention.   This represents a loss of 5.3 million voters from his 2008 totals and the success of the Republican Convention will only drive these numbers up.

Some time ago,  Clinton's campaign strategist,  James Carville,  warned Obama to stay away from the "economy."  Instead,  Obama incredibly decided that he knew better than Carville and has busied himself  proclaiming, "The private sector is doing fine"  and "We tried it their way and it didn't work.  We tried it our way and it did work."  We can see the results.  We can hear Carville screaming for his front room,  "I told you so!!"

Maybe the best quote of the Republican Convention: Tim Pawlenty - "Lot's of people fail at their first job." (no article - none needed)

Occupy: "We're Marxists." I told you so . . . . so why are Obama and Van Jones and Joe Biden and Pelosi still lifting these people up? Is this where you want your leadership taking this country?

Thanks to Paul Ryan's genius, this poster is going "viral."

College is not cheaper.  College debt has not been reduced.  And 50% of all college grads are without jobs . . . . . at least jobs for which they are uniquely qualified.

Obama has made well over 400 taxpayer visits to college "campii" since March of 2011, when he announced the beginning of his campaign, desperately hoping to increase that vote. Still think he is not in trouble?

Did you know the University of Colorado is handing out college credits for those who campaign for Obama? You would think this to be illegal. As long as they don't start crying when our side does the same. (no article).

What happened to Obama's "negotiated peace" with the murdering, hitleresque, Muslims he calls the "Tally Band?" Well, they have started beheading children.

More than 1,600 soldiers have died under Obama's leadership,   fighting for what?  “Victory” has never been defined by Obama.  His policy of “catch and release” is an insult to the military mind,  and, now,  we learn that he is “negotiating” with some of the most despicable secularist in the history of mankind.  I am for finishing what we have started,  but,  not under Obama.  He is getting our soldiers killed via insane battlefield policy.  In stating a withdrawal date, he made it clear that he had no intentions of finishing a war that he has revived.  Afghan is Obama's war and it is a dismal failure,  an abject insult to the most prolific fighting force in human history.

Point of this post:  to offer another reason for the removal of Obama from the position of Commander In Chief . . . . . .  as if we all need more convincing.

KABUL (Reuters) – An adolescent boy and a young girl have been beheaded in two separate incidents in Afghanistan, local officials and police said on Friday, in the latest brazen attacks that have raised fresh questions about a splintering Taliban.

A 12-year-old boy was kidnapped and killed in southern Kandahar province on Wednesday, his severed head placed near his body to send a warning to police, said provincial governor spokesman Jawid Faisal.

The brother of the boy, neither of whom were named by officials, was a member of the Afghan Local Police (ALP), a US-trained militia charged with making Afghans in Taliban strongholds, like Kandahar, feel more secure, Faisal said.

“It’s a Taliban warning to the ALP and to others who support the government,” Faisal said of the killing, which happened in Kandahar’s Panjwai district.

Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf denied the group was involved.
Separately, a 6-year-old girl was beheaded in eastern Kapisa province on Thursday, said provincial police chief Abdul Hamed.

Clint Eastwood's speech text: a one time Obama supporter and speaking for all non-political beings, presents a cogent but unscripted opinion on the Obama presidency.

<<<<<<    This is an unscripted 10 minute speech that was both cogent and plainly critical of Obama.  Read the text for yourself.  Eastwood,  in fact,  is not speaking as a politician,  but,  rather,  as an everyday citizen who has lost enthusiasm for Barack Obama and his do nothing Administration.  The talk makes perfect sense and is not the bumbling antics of a tired old man, as the Left would have you believe, and . . . . .   "the people" loved it.  ---   blog editor.
EASTWOOD: Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you very much. Save a little for Mitt.
(APPLAUSE) I know what you are thinking. You are thinking, what’s a movie tradesman doing out here? You know they are all left wingers out there, left of Lenin. At least that is what people think. That is not really the case. There are a lot of conservative people, a lot of moderate people, Republicans, Democrats, in Hollywood. It is just that the conservative people by the nature of the word itself play closer to the vest. They do not go around hot dogging it.
(APPLAUSE)
So -- but they are there, believe me, they are there. I just think, in fact, some of them around town, I saw Jon Voight, a lot of people around.
(APPLAUSE)
Jon’s here, an academy award winner. A terrific guy. These people are all like-minded, like all of us.
So I -- so I’ve got Mr. Obama sitting here. [Eastwood points to an empty chair he has placed on the stage,  next to the podium]  And he’s -- I was going to ask him a couple of questions. But -- you know about -- I remember three and a half years ago, when Mr. Obama won the election. And though I was not a big supporter, I was watching that night when he was having that thing and they were talking about hope and change and they were talking about, "yes we can," and it was dark outdoors, and it was nice, and people were lighting candles.
They were saying, I just thought, this was great. Everybody is crying, Oprah was crying.
(LAUGHTER)
And at this point in his speech,  he made his most impactive statement.  As he spoke of the unemployed,  his eyes teared up as he emotionally said  . . .
I was even crying. And then finally -- and I haven’t cried that hard since I found out that there is 23 million unemployed people in this country.
(APPLAUSE)
Now,  that is something to cry for because that is a disgrace, a national disgrace, and we haven’t done enough, obviously -- this administration hasn’t done enough to cure that. Whatever interest they have is not strong enough, and I think possibly now,  it may be time for somebody else to come along and solve the problem.
(BIG APPLAUSE)
So, Mr. President [as he addresses the empty chair]  how do you handle promises that you have made when you were running for election, and . . . . . . . .  [well] . . . . .  how do you handle them?
[At this point,  Eastwood pretends that Obama is attempting to say something in response.  What appears to "stumbling,"  in the speech,  is Clint's "exchange" with Obama.  Clint begins his point,  Obama is interrupting,  and,  finally,  tells Eastwood to shut up.]
I mean, what do you say to people? Do you just -- you know -- I know -- people were wondering -- you don’t -- handle that OK. Well, I know even people in your own party were very disappointed when you didn’t close Gitmo. And I thought, well closing Gitmo -- why close that, we spent so much money on it. But, I thought maybe as an excuse -- what do you mean shut up?
(LAUGHTER)
OK, I thought maybe it was just because somebody had the stupid idea of trying terrorists in downtown New York City.
(BIG  APPLAUSE)
I’ve got to,  to hand it to you. I have to give credit where credit is due. You did finally overrule that [referring to Obama/Holder's  civilian trial idiocy]  finally. And that’s -- now we are moving onward. I know you were against the war in Iraq, and that’s okay. But you thought the war in Afghanistan was OK. You know, I mean -- you thought that was something worth doing. We didn’t check with the Russians to see how did -- they did there for 10 years.
(BIG APPLAUSE)
But we did it, and it is something to be thought about, and I think that, when we get to maybe -- I think you’ve mentioned something about having a target date for bringing everybody home. You gave that target date, and I think Mr. Romney asked the only sensible question, you know, he says, “Why are you giving the date out now? Why don’t you just bring them home tomorrow morning?”
(APPLAUSE)

And I thought -- I thought, yeah -- I am not going to shut up, it is my turn.
(LAUGHTER)
{At this point,  Clint returns to his "conversation" with Obama
So anyway, we’re [you and I, Mr. Obama]  going to have -- we’re going to have to have a little chat about that. And then, I just wondered, all these promises -- I wondered about when the -- what do you want me to tell Romney? [apparently Obama says something that can't be repeated and Clint says . .]
I can’t tell him to do that. I can’t tell him to do that to himself.
(BIG LAUGHTER)
You’re crazy, you’re absolutely crazy. You’re getting as bad as Biden.
(MORE LAUGHTER AND APPLAUSE)
Of course we all now Biden is the intellect of the Democratic party.
(LAUGHTER)
Kind of a grin with a body behind it.
(LAUGHTER)
But I just think that there is so much to be done, and I think that Mr. Romney and Mr. Ryan are two guys that can come along. See, I never thought it was a good idea for attorneys to the president, anyway.
(LOTS OF LAUGHTER AND APPLAUSE)
I think attorneys are so busy -- you know they’re always taught to argue everything, and always weight everything -- weigh both sides . . . . .  I think attorneys are so busy -- you know they’re always taught to argue everything, always weigh everything, weigh both sides.
EASTWOOD: They are always devil’s advocating this and bifurcating this and bifurcating that. You know all that stuff. But, I think it is maybe time -- what do you think [addressing the empty chair]  -- for maybe a businessman. How about that?
(MUCH APPLAUSE)
A stellar businessman. Quote, unquote, “a stellar businessman.”
And I think it’s that time. And I think if you just step aside and Mr. Romney can kind of take over. You can maybe still use a plane.
(APPLAUSE)
Though maybe a smaller one. Not that big gas guzzler you are going around to colleges and talking about student loans and stuff like that.
(MUCH LAUGHTER AND APPLAUSE)
You are an -- an ecological man. Why would you want to drive that truck around?  [Eastwood refers to the presidential plane Obama's uses as a campaign vehicle - illegally,  I might add].
OK, well anyway. All right, I’m sorry. I can’t do that to myself either.
(APPLAUSE)
I would just like to say something, ladies and gentlemen. Something that I think is very important. It is that, you, we -- we own this country.
(MUCH APPLAUSE)
We -- we own it. It is not you owning it, and not politicians owning it. Politicians are employees of ours.
(APPLAUSE)
And -- so -- they are just going to come around and beg for votes every few years. It is the same old deal. But I just think it is important that you [talking to the folks in the convention and those watching on television]   realize , that you’re the best in the world. Whether you are a Democrat or Republican or whether you’re libertarian or whatever, you are the best. And we should not ever forget that. And when somebody does not do the job, we got to let them go.
(MUCH APPLAUSE)
Okay, just remember that. And I’m speaking out for everybody out there. It doesn’t hurt, we don’t have to be
(AUDIENCE MEMBER): (inaudible - but it appears that the listener was asking Eastwood to say,  "Go ahead and make my day."]
(LAUGHTER)
I do not say that word anymore. Well, maybe one last time.
(LAUGHTER)
We don’t have to be -- what I’m saying, we do not have to be mental masochists and vote for somebody that we don’t really even want in office just because they seem to be nice guys or maybe not so nice guys, if you look at some of the recent ads going out there, I don’t know.
(APPLAUSE)
But OK. You want to make my day?
(APPLAUSE)
All right. I started, you finish it.
[Eastwood says] Go ahead, [and the audience said} Make my day !!
EASTWOOD: Thank you. Thank you very much.

Romney gets a 6 point "bounce" before folks had time to leave the GOP meeting hall and, so, the "sprint to the finish line" begins (no article)

Best Quote of Marco Rubio

The only change is that hope is hard to find.

Our problem is not that he’s a bad person. Our problem is he’s a bad president.

Best quote of the week from Michael Moore

"Practice the words,   President Romney"

The Best of Mitt Romney

"Obama promised to slow the rise of the oceans . . . . . . . .  and to heal the planet . . . . . . . . . My promise is to help you and your family."

You know there’s something wrong with the kind of job he’s done as president when the best feeling you had was the day you voted for him.’’

To the majority of Americans who now believe that the future will not be better than the past, I can guarantee you this: if Barack Obama is re-elected, you will be right

The Best of Eastwood

We own this country.

When someone does not do the job,  we got to let ‘em go.

Biden is the intellect of the Democratic party’

FoxNews makes it move against Sarah Palin. Jerks all at the top of that network.

Update:  Think Palin is a "has been?"  Did you know that her 2008 speech drew higher ratings than Paul Ryan's excellent speech??

Update:  Did Fox back down?  She was just interviewed by Cavuto and Hannity.

<<<< send your complaints to news@foxnews.com and do it now and often.

Original test:
The timing sucks:   FoxNews canceling the single most important grassroots voice in the GOP on the night our road to victory begins.  Jerks all

While this is very frustrating news,  it comes as no surprise to this editor.  The upper class at Fox has pretended to be supportive of Governor Palin,  for years.  They were as transparent in this as is their effort to pretend Bourbon Boy,  Shep Smith,   is some kind of conservative news caster.

My advice to Sarah  -- shift into high gear.  It will be years before you stand alone  --  if ever.

Sarah  is much respected and loved and her place in the grassroots movement is not to be ignored.

She is at the middle of the conservative storm driving the current  political debate and taking back this nation for its founding principles. She is not the only one and the Governor would be the first to make that note.  But,  every time we see Paul Ryan,  Marco Rubio,  Ran Paul, Ted Cruz,  Nikki Haley (who will ignore the fact that Palin took up her candidacy when she – Haley -  was running out of gas and in 4th place in the primaries),  and anyone sponsored by tea-party patriots,  we must acknowledge the iconic contribution of Sarah Palin.

There are many conservative hero’s in all this,  but Palin is at the center of the storm and facing a very discouraging decision on the part of the hypocrites in the Fox News management.

Understand that this election will be won because of the selfless contributions of patriots such as Sarah Palin,  Michele Bachmann,  Jim DeMint, and a host of others.

Addressing the RINO/status quo element within the GOP,  I always say this:

try winning an election without us.

That was the message of the ’08 election,  with 5 million disorganized  patriots staying away from the polls.  Abandon the cause and its 20 million adherents   and you will be sent packing  by the conservative majority.  That is not a threat,  that is an absolute promise.

Palin conservatives constitute a huge portion of the Fox audience.  We do not need Fox nearly as much as Fox needs us  --  we already have our “alternative” media.

Update:  CNN gives us a little history on this matter.  At the center of this decision is Roger Ailes childish pettiness.  In credible.

Reports of tension between the conservative firebrand and the network emerged in November, when New York Magazine reported the network's president, Roger Ailes, was furious that Palin had announced her decision against running for president on another media outlet.
Palin first made her decision public on a conservative radio show hosted by Mark Levin, then confirmed her announcement in a Fox appearance on Greta van Susteren's show that night. While Ailes reportedly considered pulling her million dollar contract, Palin continued to appear on the Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network. --- from the CNN article linked above.
