Bad day for the Dems (Wednesday).

Obviously the Dems wrote their talking points on the same day they decided to go "wall to wall" in their coverage of the Wednesday/Thursday testimony.

They need this event to be historical rather than simply hysterical.  And,  they are on the verge of proving just how out of touch with reality they are.  If you watched the testimony today,  you know that the CNN/MSNBC reporting had nothing to do with what actually happened.

CNN, the big loser for the day,  had reported that Comey would testify that he never told Trump he was not under investigation. Turns out he told Trump that he was not the target three different times   . . . . . .   again,  according to Comey   . . . . . . .  as Trump had claimed.

A second consideration is the thinking that Robert Mueller, after talking to Comey yesterday about his prepared statement,  has decided that Trump is not a viable target of the investigation into Russian collusion.  This is the conclusion of legal professionals based on the fact that no prosecutor would allow his primary witness to testify publicly,  if there was a danger that very thing happening.

In the end,  we can expect to find that nothing of consequence will be added to the public record,  either on Wednesday or Thursday.  "They"  will announce that this is about the Russian threat,  but will spend virtually all of their time,  questioning those before them about Trump,  any criminal statements he may have made (to date, zero is the number of such statements),  and impressions of what or where the President was going with his involvement or concern about the continuing investigation.  One thing we know,  he was not moving to any action that could be deemed "obstruction."  That part of this inquistion is clear.

  1. Whether or not Trump was told anything is meaningless, a red herring.
Comey in his opening statement said Trump lied and his disparagement of the FBI was unfounded. How's that for a 'nothing burger'? More like you being forced to eat a shit sandwich. The American people can judge for themselves. They already have.

    1. Anyone remember the Democrat opinion of Comey and his FBI in the days just before the election? No President has ever been impeached because of a red herring. Comey reveals that he considered Trump a liar from the beginning, but not Obama, whose entire 8 years was about his agenda and the more than 300 lies told over and over in defense of that agenda. Obama's policies had people killed, (Benhgazi, CH42 helicopter with 32 men on board, 500,000 Syrians after he lied about the red line, 434 Americans killed by terrorist here in America accompanied by any number of lies and coverups). Again, there is nothing in today's testimony that gets anywhere close to impeachment. Put some money on, big mouth.
