Oppotunism and a greedy form of capitalism are alive and well in the camp of those Lefties who pretend otherwise. The Huffington Post's "betrayal" of gays and atheist is the latest [typical] example of the Left's empty suit existence.

The Independent:
The Huffington Post has caused outrage among those readers who considered it a liberal left website by launching an Arabic edition which has promptly criticised gays, atheists and the practice of taking selfies.
Days after going live, the site has already published a series of vitriolic outbursts including a piece by an Egyptian contributor on Saturday complaining that atheists were being allowed on Egyptian television and that the Government permitted “a press conference for gays in the heart of Cairo”   . . . . .
In an interview last month, the website’s founder, Arianna Huffington, 65, had promised that Huffington Post Arabi would endorse the values of other editions of the news and blog site. The Cambridge-educated Huffington, who sold her site to Internet giant AOL for $315m in 2011 and reportedly pocketed $21m from the deal.

  1. Six years of Obama forcing unpopular policies down Americans’ throats; six years of lies and misdeeds by unaccountable bureaucrats; six years of lame growth and resulting wage suppression; six years of appeasing
our enemies and facing down our friends; six years of dividing the country – they have all taken their toll. And now, we learn, once again, of the hypocrisy of the Left when it comes to their business methodologies. Arianna is a millionare many times over, but preaches fairness and wage equalty as long as it does not apply to her and her business . . . . and now we see how far she will go to make a buck.

  3. Whose the moron?

Look, she sold the Post AND the website in question, years ago, making millions doing so, and, failed to insure that her pledges were honored. More than this, the new owners are primary drivers of the Marxist Left, and buds of Arianna . . . . I mean, we are talking about AOL. same criticism, different name. In fact, you could plug just about any Leftist business personality into the mix, and come up with the observation. They are all capitalist, all greedy, all little more than empty suits, such is the Progressive movement of today. What a joke these people are.
