| Bill Maher says "I am different from Rush Limbaugh" but defines himself as a political pundit. This is his own book cover. |
In an interview with Jake Tapper of
ABC News last week,
Bill Maher went on the attack, justifying his use of the words
"cunt" and "twat" in his mindless attacks against Sarah
Palin, Michele Bachmann, Michelle Malkin, Laura Ingraham and, well,
just about any Democrat lackey he is not sleeping with at the
time.
In the interview,
he makes a statement that happens to be absolutely correct :
“The
First Amendment was specifically designed for citizens to insult politicians. Libel laws were written to protect law
students speaking out on political issues from getting called whores by
Oxycontin addicts.”
Too bad his president and the One Worlders in power,
today, do not agree. They obviously believe that the first
Amendment, if it counts for anything, protects them, the
protectors of truth, against the onslaught of the encroaching
conservative hordes. Card Check, a socialist inspired legislative
idea that would stifle the secret union votes, the so-called "Fairness
Doctrine," another proposed piece of legislation, designed to
ultimately silence Conservative Talk Media (Fox,
Limbaugh/Hannity/Levin/Hewitt, and the thousands of local conservative
talk shows aired each day). The radicalized white/black
anti-capitalist cabal has talked about making it illegal to discuss
"creationism" in our schools or to voice conservative/religious
opinions in the federally financed public square. Obama has even
hinted at limiting political speech that he deems "lies and mistruth"
in one of his many commencement speech, two years ago (2010).
Whether Limbaugh slandered Sandra Fluke or simply concluded that only a slut would jump in the sack three times a day, everyday, for three years, well, you can be the judge of that.

Maher goes on to say, "
I’m a comedian – not just a guy who says he is, like Rush,
but
someone who – well, you saw me do stand-up last year in D.C. There’s a
big difference between just saying you’re a comedian and going out and
getting thousands of people to laugh hard for 90 minutes.

Actually, there is no difference between what Maher does and what goes on during the Rush Limbaugh show . . . . . . no difference at all. Maher is not nearly as funny as he thinks he is, and is considerably more serious than his defenders pretend him to be. Maher is every bit a political pundit, an entertainer using events of the day and the social venue of the day, as he spews his version of truth to all who will take time to listen.
The Left has defined Limbaugh as the unofficial head of the GOP. Of course, he is not, but the Left loves to define its own reality and then, pretend it is, ahhh, reality.
The idiocy of Maher's defense, is obvious. A "comedian" is not one who only does "stand up." And Maher should try to comedy/political talk for three hours a day, five days a week instead of 90 minutes, every once in a while.
Finally, there is the question as to whether Sandra Fluke is a private citizen or a political operative. Of course, "Joe the Plumber" was very much a private citizen when MSNBC and CNN began hounding him, investigating every aspect of his private life but no one on the Left gives a care about that fact.
The curious reality in all this, is the fact that the Lefties are getting their One World Rumps kicked into the next life during this particular news cycle.

You still don't get it. Maher insulted a politician. Thats what comedians do... every night. Limbaugh insulted ALL women who seek contraception. Huge difference.
ReplyDeleteNaughty, naughty. You just told a lie, but, then, you're a Democrat. You all are desperate to avoid the real issues of this election cycle, so you have made up this contraception idiocy. None of the GOP candidates are "anti-contraception" and the GOP, as a political party, is not anti-contraception.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, Bill Maher is not a comedian. You have to be funny to be a comedian. He is a political pundit. Now, because Palin is a politician does not allow your little Marxist friend to call her a cunt or a twat and to think you PRETEND to believe that "slut" is anywhere close to being equal to "cunt," well, obviously you are a gay male or you would know better.
Finally, and just to be clear, Limbaugh did not attack contraception at all. His point was to put focus on the ridiculous nature of Sandra Fluke's testimony, a testimony she is now trying to change, btw. She claimed that she had spent $3,000 in the three years she was at Georgetown. Understanding that a woman can buy a month’s worth of contraception at WalMart for 9 dollars a month, she must have been supplying her champions with condoms for a buck a pop and hopping into the sack nearly three times a day. A chick that has sex three times a day, every day, all year long - well, the only women I know that do such things are prostitutes and sluts, and, in point of fact, I doubt that even those people are "doing it" 3 times a day x 365. Of course, Fluke was not jumping in the sack that often. She was lying about the cost, her involvement , and the frequency of her triumphs. It was all a lie. That was what Rush was doing - demonstrating absurdity by being absurd. Bill Maher, on the other, was making no point at all except to use the occasion to debase Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann. He had no ulterior motive in mind, at all. Limbaugh was actually making the point.
